Getting Started - on the road to success....
Chapter 1 |

There are several basic “keys” that need to be put into place as your foundation for being successful in your communications efforts. Keeping these keys first and foremost throughout the process will solidify your plan.
- Get “UNIFIED”.
- It is critical to “unify” or integrate your communications methods. This means linking your telephone, cell phone, pager, e-mail, fax, web site and voicemail. This is going to make all of these modes of communication items work together.
- Benefits of Unified Messaging are:
- Controlling when and how you are contactable.
- Being available, or having an automated system be available for you, to get information quickly to customers or clients. In today’s age of “gotta have it now!” - letting people go without getting a useful message across to them will make you LOSE money. Even if you aren’t available - we’ll teach you how a “virtual office” will do a lot of the work for you.
- Cutting costs by using less phone lines. The internet is making this all possible my friends. If you don’t embrace the technology which is being spoon fed to the masses - you’ll suffer losses to competitors.
- Getting messages quickly - regardless of how they came in. Do you check voicemail often? How about e-mail? Pager? Cell Phone, etc.? The point is that if you have access to all of these - no matter where you are and where you go - you’ll be more prompt in handling your business. With unified messaging - you can get voicemail and faxes e-mailed to your computer, wireless device, or whatever. In turn, you can get e-mails sent to your cell phone. Doesn’t matter how you stay connected, you can set it up smart. We’ll show you how.
- Get a web site. The internet has been around for a long time now in some form or another (starting as electronic bulletin boards, then on to it’s present form after Al Gore invented it :-) If you are going to get serious about doing business, spreading out and reaching all those people who are going to give you money - you should at least build a basic page on the internet.
- It’s cheap (as low as $5 a month), easy and - at that price - there’s no excuse not to. The sooner you get yours on the net - the sooner the search engines are going to list it. Don’t wait - I don’t care what you are selling (even pumpkins from a farm). People look up EVERYTHING on the net these days.
- Do the Research. We are going to fill this site with all the resources you need to make good business decisions regarding your telecommunications methods. Please read everything we have before you e-mail us asking about things that we’ve already covered in the site. This site is free. There are specific areas which we cover separately in various pages for you to browse. Please make good use of the information. It is your responsibility to investigate any companies listed on the site and their policies and current pricing before ordering service. We cannot be held liable for your decisions.
